Disciple Thru Bible Study
Jesus Christ gave the formula for success when He said, “if ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them” (John 13:17). Happiness is the result of knowing and doing the will of God as He has revealed it in the Bible. The problem with so many Christians today is that they don’t spend much time learning the principles of the Bible, so they don’t even know what is expected of them. No wonder they don’t enjoy all the blessings of the Christian life.
How to Disciple Others
Discipleship is what Christianity is all about. Jesus commanded His disciples (and us through them) to “go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you (Matthew 28:19,20). That is not the only responsibility of minister and missionaries, but it is also about helping young Christians become disciples as well. That is the secret of the amazing growth of Christianity tyhrough the centuries – making disciples who can pass the message on to others.
In How to Study the Bible for Yourself, by Tim LaHaye, we are taught that everyone can understand the Bible. He teaches us to study by chapters, by books and subject analysis. We learn how to disciple ourselves and others helping to increase our faith and confidence in Jesus and His word.
