Bible Verses All Christian Should Know

Memorize Bible Verses

When it comes to memorizing Bible verses, most people confess to a “mental block.” But only in rare instances is that really true. Most of the time the problem is an ambition block. It I were to ask for your address or phone number, you would have no trouble recalling it. Anyone who can do that can memorize Bible verses. Very honestly, memorization involves hard work, but it pays great dividends to your spiritual life than any other known method of Bible study.

Scripture Memory Cards

The best way I know to memorize Bible verses is to use Scripture memory cards. Some people use 3 x 5 cards and some use the smaller calling cards, but the important thing is that you carry your memory cards with you wherever you go. That way you can review your verses during handy moments throughout the day – waiting in the dentist office, at the bus stop, as you drive to work, or whenever you have a spare moment to “redeem the time.”

Just learning verses and their references can be rather confusing unless you take a few seconds longer to learn the subject or topic for each verse. Rather than learn 50 random verses, it is far more effective to learn one verse for 50 different subjects. The reason for this is that the mind functions by subjects. When you want a verse on prayer or some other subject, it is simple to think if one if you assigned that topic to the verse when you learned it.
